In the mountains....

Hello! Here I am writing this post in the park of Sokolov where the leafs of trees around me are already getting coloured.  Autumn is coming! Yay! I love summer, but after hot weather, wearing skirts and T-shirts, it's always nice to have the cosy seasons back. But I also know that after a month or two,  I wil already be longing after summer again 😊.
Because yesterday was a feastday,  there was no school and I don't have to go to school today as well.
I just realised that I'm already here for 5 weeks and that this was my fourth week of school. It's a pretty weird feeling: It's insane that I'm already staying here that long, but at the same time, it feels like I am already here for months!
Like my family has already hosted 3 girls before me, I find it exciting to sleep in a room where people of different countries have slept,  but with the same intentions as me: going on an exchange with AFS to learn a new culture. I wonder how they were, felt, what they did,...
In that room, they might also have felt excited,  happy, lonely, ... just like me πŸ™‚.
What I have done the last 2 weeks? Well, I have climbed many mountains 😁!
We have visited Marienberg: a village where a little festival was hold.
A couple of days later, on wednesday, they asked me if I would want to go on a school trip to MileΕ‘ovka. It was a trip for an other class, but there were still places left. Off course I said yes, I mean it's better than sitting a whole day following lessons, right?
Last weekend, we first went to Hartenberg with the train where there was a castle (in Czech Republic, there are castles almost everywhere). Then we hiked again, but sometimes, you could not take the indicated paths (too much obstacles). So we were forced to take other ways and got a little bit lost. So I think we have walked a little bit more than we were supposed to do 😏.
This week, there were only 3 days of school and on tuesday, we went to Bamsberg in Germany. It's also a  beautiful city!
Yesterday, again, we made a walk in the mountains. We went to the highest mountain in the neighbourhood.  On that mountains, there were also little villages. We saw a steam locomotive. Very nice to see such and old train who could still transport you. Like you've been taken back in time.
Here, I think that villages and cities are more concentrated between mountains and forests. In it, you can do much, but you must drive or take a bus/train if you want to visit the next village.
But I still find it very beautiful here! Everything's going well!  πŸ˜„

Beginning of school

Hey everyone! The last four days were less 'boring' for me. Friday evening, I received the news that the welcome picnic would unfortunately not take place due to the bad weather conditions. I was quite dissapointed, but they are already looking for a new date. Instead of going to the picnic, I have spent some time with my family. First, we visited Elbow. It's a small, but pretty village where films like James Bond were shoot (that's what my host father told me). It has also an ancient look (like I've already mentioned before in a previous post). Then we made a walk through the forrest where we were looking for mushrooms. First, I didn't know which ones were edable and which ones weren't. But after some time, I was able to find some. That same evening we went to Karlsberg where a light festival was hold. It's touristic, but can also be very cosy. In the evening, it made me think of cities like Rome. The light festival itself was also very well done.

It has begun!

Friday morning, my adventure had begun!  Me, my mum and my sister went to the airport where I would leave at 10am . So at 8.30am, we were drinking a coffee or a fruit juice when my sister suddenly saw my flight was delayed! We rebooked and my new departure time was at 16.30pm. I didn't like it at all! I was ready to say goodbye, and then it all changed. We decided to visit Brussels and eat French fries for the last time. After all, it was a nice way to end my summer in Belgium. We went back to the airport and after still an hour of retardation,  I could finally leave! The flight itself was not that long, but I was getting a little bit afraid of what would happen next. But when I arrived, that feeling quickly changed.  I had heard that Czech  people could be really distant , but they instantly hugged me.  Normally, I'm really shy, but when I am nervous, I can actually be very talkactive.  And it was the perfect moment for that to happen! I like talked to people of Hong Kong,

Here I am again to disturb you with a short summary of my little 'adventures'. Let's start to say that the weeks after my previous post weren't the most difficult ones for me, but certainly the most confusing. First, I had (like I said) a camp. There was unbelievable much fun: we played games, talked about our families and school, learned things to eachother about our countries,... etc. I felt relieved that there were people that felt the same way I did. Sometimes, you would forget that and you would think you're the only one in the world who's doing this. But at the other side, it was also hard for me. Most students stay for a year and I realised I would propably never experience this exchange fully. I simply don't have enough time to do that. So, sunday I came home in the evening and the next morning, I immediately went to school again and I felt bad.
